BGI Ltd is the corporate international geologic consulting business of W. William (Bill) Boberg. Bill is a Certified Professional Geologist (#6313 - American Institute of Professional Geologists) and a Professional Geologist (#2428 - Wyoming Board of Professional Geologists) with over 35 years of international geologic experience in mineral exploration, petroleum exploration, geochemistry and environmental geology. Bill Boberg is an Exploration Manager / Project Manager / Economic Geologist with over 35 years experience investigating, assessing and developing a wide variety of mineral resources in a broad variety of geologic environments in Western North America and Africa. Management - Bill has set up in both the US and in Africa several new, fully functional, exploration operations, from inception to full operation, overseeing and managing all aspects of the operations. He developed exploration and development procedures which directly resulted in discoveries and in the significant enhancement of reserves. He has successfully managed an independent geologic firm conducting independent geologic research studies for and petroleum industries. He handled all aspects from the basic research through evaluation, report writing, publication and marketing. He also conducted management audits of existing exploration and development programs to assist corporate management in improving operations and potential for success. Technical Proficiency - Bill is very adept at project generation, program planning and development. He has planned, established and managed geologic programs in a wide variety of geologic environments (volcanic, intrusive, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks ranging in age from the Archean to the Recent) in both exploration and developmental phases, from individual project size to large nation-wide programs. Commodities that Bill has explored for include gold, diamonds, copper, silver, lead, zinc, uranium, oil and gas . He has worked in Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Russia and Africa (more than 15 individual countries) as well as the western United States. He has conducted significant independent geologic research and prepared detailed reports for sales to industry. His proficiency is demonstrated by having worked for and provided services to more than 50 US, Canadian and international mining and petroleum companies. Project Promotion and Marketing - He has been involved in both US and international projects, in which he evaluated data and prepared detailed technical documentation. He successfully marketed these technical reports, achieving high sales of these proprietary packages. He assisted various international project owners to place their projects, as joint ventures, with major and junior mining companies. He worked with international development agencies to evaluate and assess mineral projects in several countries and was involved in the preparation of Mineral Investment Brochures for developing countries in Africa. He was involved in the coaching of foreign government and business managers to prepare for promotional presentations to international mining audiences. Corporate Positions Held - Bill Boberg is the Managing Director of Canyon Resources Africa, President of Africa Mineral Resource Specialists and President of BGI Ltd. He has been a director of Patrician Gold Mines, Vice President of Exploration & Geology for WMC Liberia Management Company, Exploration Program Manager for Kennecott Exploration Inc., Chief Geologist for Wold Nuclear Corporation and District Geologist for Continental Oil Minerals Department.
