Non-Proprietary Geologic Data Packages Available

Sage Creek - Flathead Region Oils Analytical Data Set, One Volume (43 pages) collection of data for four oils collected in the Sage Creek - Flathead Region of British Columbia and Alberta. This collection of data is the result of hydrocarbon laboratory results and carbon isotope analyses completed by Sun Exploration and Production Company on samples provided by W. W. Boberg. Other than brief comments by the Sun Geochemist concerning the results of the analyses there is no further evaluation of the results in this package. This is basically a collection of laboratory analyses for various oil samples collected in region (Turner Valley, AB and two samples of oil collected from two separate open holes in the Sage Creek area, BC plus a historical sample from Boberg’s personal collection said to come from a blowout of one of the Sage Creek wells during the drilling operation). This data was never previously made available for sale. This report is now available for US$395.00.

Sage Creek - Flathead Region Oils, a plastic box containing 4 vials of oils collected in the Sage Creek - Flathead region. This sample set consists of three Sage Creek oils plus a sample of the Turner Valley oil that were collected in vials in 1984 are still available for sale. These were sold at US$50.00 for a set of 4 samples from 1984 to 1986. They are available today at the price of US$50.00. Shipping cost of this sample set of oil must be determined separately depending on your location because it is material that will be considered hazardous for normal shipping. Please contact us for separate pricing of the shipping.

ARCO No. 1 Paul Gibbs Well, NWNE Section 2, T28N, R27W, Flathead County, Montana, Basic Data Set Released by ARCO to State of Montana, April 5, 1985. One Volume (106 pages) plus well logs of basic data released by ARCO to State of Montana. This material consists of DST water sample analyses, Drill Stem Test reports, well history and bit record, and 6 well log sets (DLL/MSFL, BHC/Sonic, FDC/CNL/LDT, NGS (gamma), HRT (Temp), and Dipmeter. The logs are mostly from the base of casing (155 feet) to the total depth of the hole (range of log depths 17,466 feet to 17,678 feet). This set of data was sold by BGI Ltd, starting in 1985, for US$500 and is available today at the same price, US$500.00 for the full paper set of data.

Source Rock Geochemisty Data Set, ARCO-Marathon No l. Paul Gibbs Well, NWNE Section 2, T28N, R27W, Flathead County, Montana by Boberg, W. Wm., 1988. One Volume (24 pages) of source rock geochemistry laboratory data of tests completed on well cuttings of the Arco-Marathon No. 1 Paul Gibbs well. BGI Ltd owns a complete set of the well cuttings of the Arco-Marathon No. 1 Paul Gibbs well and made arrangements with AMOCO to complete a detailed analysis of the source rock geochemistry of the well cuttings in the well. AMOCO sent the samples to EXLOG / Brown & Ruth Laboratories for the completion of these source rock geochemistry evaluations and this set of material includes the actual test results from EXLOG / Brown & Ruth as well as AMOCO’s brief discussion of the tests and their interpretation of the results. This data was never previously made available for sale. This report is now available for US$395.00.

Lower Belt Supergroup Organic Geochemistry Study, Preliminary Results Data Set by Boberg, W. W., 1988. One Volume of organic geochemistry data on five samples of core samples provided to BGI Ltd by Cominco and Cominco American. BGI Ltd had proposed to Cominco that we would conduct a study of the organic material in the Lower Belt Supergroup Prichard Formation. This is the formation that contains the giant Sullivan Mine operated by Cominco at Kimberly, British Columbia. Cominco had drilled many exploration holes in the vicinity of the Sullivan Mine as well as regionally in both British Columbia and Montana. Cominco provided access to the drill core for this study in 1985 and 1986. The oil price crash of 1986 which dramatically cut petroleum exploration for several years terminated the study of organic material in the Lower Belt Supergroup. This report is the results of the preliminary work that we had done on the samples by Micro-Strat Inc, micropaleontologists and organic geochemists, in Denver, Colorado. This data was never previously made available for sale. This brief data report is now available for US$295.00.
